John has been creating unexpected moments of wonder for the past 17 years. A veteran balloon sculptor and fixture of the New York area magic scene, John runs every aspect of Tricky Business and Cresey.com, with support from his talented staff and ever-patient friends.

John is an internationally recognized, award-winning balloon twister. His detailed and original sculptures are a hit with children of all ages, and his larger installations have been featured with Disney, the Martha Stewart Show, and The White House, where he has been the president’s balloon twister of choice for their 4th of July celebrations for the past 4 years. This spring, John made a balloon dress for a rock star.

John is also an accomplished magician. His magic delights audiences at schools, libraries, corporate events, and private parties along the east coast. For the past 15 years John has been a lead instructor at Tannens magic camp, the longest running magic camp in the country. His workshops have the highest number of repeat students of any instructor at the camp. He is also a featured presenter for Teach By Magic, a program that teaches teachers to engage their students using magic.

During his rare moments of free time, John enjoys sampling many different kinds of pie.
